I stacked the drink crates and placed books in them. The coke one was a ten dollar purchase and the Pepsi one was a gift from my daughter last year.
More texture on this side of the room.
This is a homemade lamp that Mr. Savvy put together for me a couple of years ago. This lamp has moved all over the house. It was a piece of pottery I bought at Hobby Lobby at half price and then we added the lamp kit. We drilled a hole using a bit for ceramics for the cord. Added the Pottery Barn shade and voila, a lamp is born.
The first picture was taken before I moved the wicker chair and placed this bench on this wall.
I really think I need to make this bench not look so new. Looks like more painting.
I moved this pillow from the chair I sit in all the time to here. Not a very comfortable pillow to sit against so we will just look at it over here.
The t.v. cabinet was really a pretty simple makeover. I just painted over the yellow with Annie Sloan chalk paint in the color CoCo. This is a gray brown color. After it dried, which isn't long, I mixed clear and dark wax together and put it on and buffed it. I did not do any sanding. I did this in about an hour. I think I may tone down the stripes of the ticking. I kind of want to remove that fabric, but not sure how hard that will be since it was put on with Mod Podge. Does anyone know how hard it is to remove? The stripes go with the other ticking in the room though so for now it will stay.

I just love your sunroom Kim. The cabinet looks great in this new color. I'm not sure about removing the fabric, but if wallpaper can be removed with a soaking of warm water & fabric softner...maybe this can too?
Good luck, can't wait to see what you come up with! :)
Kim- I think I like the cabinet better this color. It looks really nice and I love the new CoCo. I have never tried to remove anything that was applied with ModPodge. Here's some instructions I found though..
. In the event that the Mod Podge has been on the wall for a while or if something has been attached to the wall for some time, a steam cleaner provides the heat and moisture that is necessary to pull the Mod Podge off. Be aware that after an extended period of time, removing the Mod Podge that has been attached to the wall will also remove the paint beneath it. The affected area will then need sanding and refinishing.

Maybe that will help~
I love the lamp you made and the shade you found is perfect! xo Diana
I really like the cushion on the bench way cute!!
The tv cabinet looks fabulous. I love the color. The fabric should come right off. I removed some from a cabinet a few years ago that I had put on with mod podge and it just peeled right off. Hope yours does too. Hugs, Marty
I adore your room Kim. Everything was done so tastefully and it just seems so inviting.
Have a great weekend.
Shari
I like the new colour of the cabinet, Kim. Your sun room is still my favourite room in blogdom.
Love the new color on your cabinet, Kim! I just saw this color in person today. I also love those bird prints over your bench.
I really like how that turned out. It goes much better in the room now. Sounds like a paint job that even I could do. Ha! I like simple and easy with big results.
I liked the yellow but I love this Coco. I remember you mentioning that you buffed your chalk paint with one of Mr. Savvy's shoe brushes. Is that what you used for this? The finish is beautiful.
Like the changes, Kim. I'll bet some soaking in warm water would remove the fabric. If not, maybe you could paint over the fabric (just remove the trim). I know you'll come up with just the right idea! Linda
The new color on the cabinet is TERRIFIC, I love it! Sorry I can't help you with the modge podge:( Hope someone can! XO, Pinky
Kim, you're not going all beige and white and gray on us, are you? I so hated to see that green painted room go...
Brenda
great job, i love yellow but this is really much better..horrible ice/snow storm here, the hubs was out brushing off snow from the bushes so we wouldn't loose them
Kim, everything you touch turns out just lovely and the TV cabinet is perfect. Also love the bench and seat cushion, great piece.
I love every item painted grey. The bench is wonderful too.
Kim, your sunroom makeover looks amazing. I love the color of the cabinet! You have done a great job; and the sunroom feels so bright and welcoming. Can't wait to see what you do next!
I love the CoCo, my sisters at Burlap Street use that a lot, great color and I like it with the red ticking. Love your style!
It all looks wonderful Kim!!! that cabinet is really great that color, the whole room is fabulous!
looks good that color Kim. I am still so undecided about my project. It may not happen until I am 1,000 percent sure. Your sunroom came together so nicely.
Hey Kim, your sunroom is looking great and I love your fast painting skills. I have coco in a few places at my house too. Love that stuff!
Oh, I love the new color so much. It is so crisp and light. And the detail inside is such a sweet surprise!
The red and white ticking is very pretty. Why not change the red ribbon color? Maybe a gray or linen color?
Oh Kim,
What I would do to have a pretty sunroom like yours...You did a great job with the t.v. cabinet. I actually like the ticking a lot. And I love, love, love those soda crates too.
Hugs and Kisses,
Ana
Kim don't you just love how Coco looks when the dark wax is applied. I love it! Your cabinet makeover looks great!
Oh, it is looking so good!! I know I've said it before, but I just love that lamp you and Mr. S. made from the pottery!!
Sorry, you know I have no idea how to get the modge podged material off. =/ I know you will figure it out when you decide to change it though.

Your TV cab looks fantastic, Kim! Coco is a beautiful color and wonderful choice. And, I'm sure you'll be "aging" your bench in no time! Love how it has all come together!
Kim you did a great job on the sunroom, It feels like spring time a place where you can just sit for hours and sip lemonade.
I really like the look of the cabinet and the lamp that your hubby made for you is fantastic! As for the mod podge I have no idea but hope you get some good ideas to remove it.
The cabinet looks great! I love how you did it!

Nice job as always! I like the gray brown of the coco. I really like the ticking too. Of course, I like red. :)
it looks so good in grey.. I think this is my fab piece that you've done. Its so smooth and pretty.
Kim the sunroom is spectacular. I love what you did with the cabinet. It looks really nice.

I love love the colour of this cabinet!!!
Yesterday I found a supplier of Annie Sloan Chalk paint!!!! Can you hear my excitement????
Love your house to pieces Kim!!!
Nice job hiding the TV. I like it. Mine is hidden. Rooms always look so much better when you can't see the TV.
Love that new color! I know you are going to really enjoy all your hard work! Everything looks beautiful!
I Mod Podged an entire dresser once and I was able to just pull it off without any residue. Just give it a good wash and you are ready to paint! Love the newest look to your sunroom...gorgeous. I especially like the lamp!
Your sunroom looks great Kim! Love the new color on tv cabinet, too!
Looks great! Coco is my new favorite color!
Hi Kimmie! I love love your sunroom and love all of your changes! The cabinet looks beautiful in that color! What a smart Mr. Savvy you have! The lamp looks wonderful and I adore that shade.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
You are amazing! Such energy to tackle all of those projects. Care to have a free plane ticket to California to do some work for me? **smile** Great job as always!! And I like the ticking...maybe tone it down with a wash of tea stain?
xxo
Becky
The sunroom is coming along great, i like the new color on the tv cabinet! Not sure about modge podge removal...Ive never even used the stuff........however that will change with an upcoming project............Bonnie
Kim, it looks just AMAZING! I am in love with the new Coco cabinet color! I still like the red ticking, and was thinking of suggesting tea staining, when I scrolled down and noticed Becky had already mentioned that.
It looks fabulous! YOU are the energizer bunny! :-)

Kim, I think it looks great. I liked the yellow, but I think the new color looks even better. I've never used CoCo, but this makes me want to!
Stacy
Morning Kim,
Oh yeah...that TV cabinet looks so much better in Coco. I had to chuckle just a bit when I notice in your collection of books...Blogging For Dummies...too funny!
It all looks warm and comfortable...well done Mr. and Mrs. Savvy!

Nice change! When I was standing in front of the Annie Sloan display trying to choose a couple of new colors, I almost chose Coco ... but I bought Aubusson Blue and Paris Grey instead ... I think Coco may be next. :)
Forgot to say ... Mod Podge is waterbased, like Elmers glue, so you should be able to get the fabric off. No harm in trying.
The color transformation of the cabinet is wonderful. I like the red fabric which blends in so well with your bench. I agree with another comment in that maybe a change in the trim may do the trick.
I love how it came out. I love that color!! I think the ticking looks nice on it~maybe its the ribbon? But it looks very complementary. Also, that lamp you made is fabulous! I hate painting trim too...
It looks beautiful. I love how sunny it looks. Just a happy place.
Hi Kim,
The TV cabinet...what a great colour...and the little bench is so nice! The sun room is such a beautiful room, great makeover!
We have made some of our own lamps too..it is so much fun!
All the Best,
Christine
The cabinet looks great in it's new color Kim. I love your sun room.
Kim, you are inspiring me to repaint my kitchen which is on the yellow side. I have been wanting to make a change, but am feeling like it is a pretty big job. BTW, I have heard of people painting fabric, so you might be able to do that.
Your sunroom looks fantastic! I'm glad you painted something in Coco as that's the next color I've been wanting to try. It looks pretty gray in the picture, almost like the French Linen that I have. Would you say Coco is more brown or gray? I wish we had a stockist nearby so I can see the colors in person before I order...
I hope you spend some time relaxing this weekend after all this hard work you've been doing! I hate painting trim too!
Kristen
The cabinet looks fantastic Kim! Evgery thing is just beautiful!
Oh and I love the fabric in the doors and i afraid if you remove it it would be a terrible mess. One of those that I would say I wish I never started. Love NanaDiana though and her helpful tips! I have a feeling we will be seeing a future project!;)
The new color looks great in the room! I like the Coco. It wasn't what I was thinking at all, but I really like it!
Beautiful Kim. I truly love this room and every room in your house! lol The changes you made are perfect! I have never removed modge podged fabric, but it seems that hot water would be involved...
Lou Cinda :)
Right now, I am in love with yellow and red ~ guess I am a little behind you ~ LOL!! However, the red ticking still looks wonderful with the new color. What a beautiful home you have.
XoXo,
Kristal
Your energy level is amazing! Looks great!

Love your new look sunroom - the tv cabinet looks great and I love the stripes inside the doors. Maybe just replace the red trim with something a little more subdued??..?? Just a thought,
Suzyq
