I was looking at overstock.com at rugs and came across one with all the colors I was looking for. I was skeptical about ordering it because sometimes the color shows differently on the monitor than it actually is, but this rug had a lot of good reviews. I have bought most of my rugs from overstock. You can't beat having a huge heavy rug shipped for under three dollars and the prices are great.
I am glad this was delivered when Mr. Savvy was home. I don't think I could have handled this by myself.
We moved out the chairs, coffee table, and old rug and added the new non slip rug pad.
I love the colors of this traditional style rug.
This rug is mostly taupe with beautiful silver blues, sage, maize, brown and red.
It takes on different colors depending on the light coming in.
I just wanted to show you some different shots in different lighting. This rug is by Safivieh and very well made.
This rug was already a great buy and I got an extra discount plus free shipping after Christmas.
I think this rug is the perfect match for this room.

I just love overstock for rugs. Since I moved into our new house a few months back, I've ordered 4 large rugs and have been very happy with them and seriously, no one can beat those prices! I actually got a 9x12 in the same pattern and company, different colors, for my great room as yours! It's so thick and high quality and the same rug was twice as much anywhere else! You will not believe this Kim!! I bought that rug today or at least one that is very close. I am sure it is the one though, and 8x10. I found it at HomeGoods. Wool, right? It is still on the truck. I wasn't sure about it and will see when it is down. The seagrass is on it's way to the hearth room and the kilim to the lodge. When I saw your rug I had to smile. Talk about great minds.

Okay, we hauled it out of the truck and unrolled it a little bit, my curiosity got the best of me. Mine is darker, but the pattern is very similar. It has browns, blues reds and it has some black to pick up the black in the foyer rug and some of the black accents etc.

I love the feel of that rug. It is interesting with soft pleasing colours. I always find rugs tricky in that they have to stand the test of time, both physically and visually. That one looks like a perfect choice all round!
