Welcome to the first "Wow Us Wednesdays" party. This is the party for you to share almost
anything that will WOW us. Any crafts, home decor, DIY projects, bargains to share, makeovers,
photography, etc. There is so much talent out there so I know we won't be disappointed.
Ever since my first mod podge project on my sideboard in the foyer I have been hooked and looking
for something else to try this wonderful goo on.
So I decided to transform the television cabinet in the sun room
from this
to this!
I already had the red ticking fabric because I bought several yards of it last year and it just
keeps on going.
The only thing I bought was the red ribbon to trim out the edges.
The ribbon was half off at Hobby Lobby and I bought way too much so I have two rolls
of that left to use sometime.
I also painted this rooster lamp. It was o.k. this way, but I think with all the gloomy gray
weather we have had lately I needed it whiter and brighter.
So I took some of my left over paint from the dresser I painted and painted Mr. Roo white.
Keeping a lot of my books in the bottom of the cabinet.
Now I want you to WOW us!

Please do everyone a HUGE favor and turn off word verification. Several have done posts on this. It is not needed and is really annoying when leaving comments. It takes too much time that most of us don't have. A lot of you don't even know you have it on. Go in your dashboard and go to settings. Then go to comments and scroll down and put no for word verification. Then go to the bottom of
the page and hit save. That's it. Google is doing a great job of not publishing spam comments. Believe me I get them daily and they are not going in my comments.
I thank you and most of the other bloggers thank you, too.

ReplyDeleteKim, the cabinet looks GREAT!!
ReplyDeleteHi Kim, I really like all the books in the bottom of your mod-podged cabinet. Good idea on the painted rooster - I'm all for things looking cheerful! BTW, your little grandie in the previous post is beautiful - what a smile! She is growing so fast!!! Linda
ReplyDeleteLovin' Wow us Wednesday! This will be fun! The cabinet doors look amazing! But, everything you touch turns to gold! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteScrolling back thru'....PRECIOUS baby!!! AND love your lamp from Tenille & CO....they closed in Charlotte, NC and I was so sad!!! Have a GREAT day! Christie at Three Pixie Lane
That's a great idea! I have my TV in a cabinet like that one and never thought of this. Brilliant!
ReplyDeleteI love it when people rediscover ModPodge. My mother was a mod podge fanatic back in the 60s. She never did furniture though. dad would have had a fit.
ReplyDeleteAnd before blogging I would never have thought about painting over a lamp. I am learning so much and having my world expanded.
Modge Podge is a great thing to use when crafting. Years ago I used to decorate baskets with fabric bows and MP was amazing.
ReplyDeleteYour cabinet looks very chic with the red ticking lining the doors.
Thanks to Mamie Jane for sending me over to see your super new linky party today and thanks to you for hosting.
An awesome transformation...you are so clever and talented, I would never have thought about decorating the inside door of the TV armoire....but it makes perfect sense since most inside doors are so boring. You have definately solved the boring problem! I love this idea. And, I love the white rooster..great choice.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Kathi
I wasn't sure about painting the rooster, BUT I like it!!! Thanks for hosting the WOW party!
ReplyDeleteSherry
