I have had a couple of bloggers ask me if my house is ever a mess. Are you kidding?! Of course. Let me show you what it looks like now while I am keeping my granddaughter, Leila for a couple of days.
And this is just the sun room. The kitchen table and floor around it is covered in baby things and the diaper bag and all the changing diaper stuff is in my master bedroom. So yes, my house does get messy!
Oh, is that my arm? Cool.
But this little face and the hugs and the laughing and the drool makes all the mess worth it!
Have a wonderful day!
KIM
Kim, she is adorable.....and I too wondered the same about the possibility of your house being a mess.......still doesn't look like a mess to me! Just a lot of love laying around! Enjoy that sweet little girl!
ReplyDeleteNope, not messy at all!!! She is over the top adorable...
ReplyDeleteOH, KIM!! Leila is a living doll! Yes, those sweet, sweet little hugs and laughs and drools make any kind of mess worth it!! You lucky girl!! Enjoy that precious granddaughter! You know I am green with envy!! blessings ~ tanna
ReplyDeleteNo mess there Kim, just cuddles of love all over the place! Gosh she is so cute! Enjoy the day.
ReplyDeleteWhat mess? My eyes were focused on Sweet Little Leila! She's a good distraction from the mess if you ask me - a focal point, if you will... ;-)
ReplyDeleteOh, what a little cutie pie! What mess?! And I absolutely agree, let me have one watery semi-toothless grin from my grandson, or a krafty mess on my kitchen table from my granddaughter and everything else comes second.
ReplyDeleteLOL! I had to laugh at your title, Kim, but I was thinking along the lines of everyday messes. Now this is a mess I can enjoy! Leila is so cute ~ love her smile and her sparkly eyes. I have that same Bumbo(?) seat at my house as well as that bouncy seat thing. When my granddaugther comes over we have the same set up ~ quilt on the floor with some toys, and the diaper bag is usually in there somewhere, too! Plus I got a big basket {although I'm finding not big enough} at Michaels that says "Baby Things" on it.
ReplyDeleteHow cute-just want to pinch those cheeks-so worth the "mess"!!
ReplyDeleteI would never get anything done with that precious little girl around!!! ANd when she left I would probably be too exhaused from having way too much fun to want to clean!
ReplyDeleteLove her up... you have the right perspective!
BTW your sun room is beautiful, too.
Yvonne
This is great Kim! I liked seeing your house a little messy and yes she is so worth it!! What a beautiful baby!!! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeletewhat a beautiful baby :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd.. you call that a mess??
She is so beautiful and growing up so fast.Lucky you.love dee
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweetie!
ReplyDeleteMy house is a mess, starting on about Wednesday every week, then it's gorgeous by Sunday, okay on Monday and then back downhill!
Oh my goodness Kim, I want to just squeeze her and kiss her beautiful little face all over!! I'm so jealous! We have 11 grandkids and 9 are boys!! The 2 girls live in Seattle, so we hardly ever see them. We are dying to have a baby girl near us. On the flip side, we would be broke for sure! lol What a blessing. And BTW...even with baby things everywhere, your house is still awesome!
ReplyDeleteI would be ecstatic if my house was as "messy" as yours. ;o}
ReplyDeleteYour granddaughter is GORGEOUS! Look at those cheeks!
the baby stuff and moving things to baby-proof, does make our homes a bit out of order, but I agree... worth every bit of disarray to be with that sweet faced baby who smiles back at you and you can snuggle with a hug.
ReplyDeleteShe's adorable!
Does she wear you out? My 1 year old grandson keeps me hoping, I'm exhausted after our visits, but in a good heartwarming way!
Hi Kim,
ReplyDeleteShe is absolutely adorable! She looks like such a happy baby. Enjoy your time with her.
Jane
I meant to write hopping! And, ha, he could never sit in a Bumbo, his thighs would get stuck!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely worth a little extra stuff.....and a tad messy, but what a treat!! She's precious! Makes me miss my Catherine, whose six month old b'day was on the 12TH!!! Time flies by.....lucky you, grammie!
ReplyDeleteSuzanne
OH MY! It certainly IS worth it! What a little bundle of joy! Enjoy your day, sweet friend! ♥
ReplyDeleteKim, that is a wonderful reason to have a messy house. Mine gets messy "just because." Enjoy that beautiful baby. Debby
ReplyDeleteThat's the best kind of mess! She is so precious...
ReplyDeleteMy house is a huge mess right now, with the granite/backspash,holes in kitchen walls, thingy going on, lol.
Hugs,
Penny
Just precious! She's got the sweetest face! Looks like Grandma and Leila are enjoying themselves a lot!
ReplyDeleteShe is one beautiful baby! I miss those days of "baby stuff," although I wasn't sure I would at the time! Right now my home is covered with paint cans, chalkboards, furniture, trays, etc. etc. as I get ready for a new venture. I think I prefer your mess! :-)
ReplyDeleteYour sweet grandbaby is such a 'Gerber' baby- what a beautiful girl! I love smiley babies!! In no way would I call your room a 'mess'. Monday mornings at my house resemble a bomb explosion site!
ReplyDeleteUGH! I hear ya! And I have 6 grands who are at my house at any given time...LOl My kitchen table and the dining room table seem to be a catchall for all kinds of things that don't belong there. But to be honest I rather have the mess and know that I am seeing their sweet faces than to have a neat and quiet house...they grow up too fast! She is ADORABLE!!
ReplyDeleteKim, That's the best kind of "mess". I love all the toys around when our grandson is here. Leila is precious. I like the photo of her looking at her arm.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing her cuteness.
~ Babs
She's adorable! Who cares about mess when you've got her around.
ReplyDeleteThat's a good kind of mess! That doesn't count.
ReplyDeleteOh man, Kim it's a good thing I don't live any closer, because I would be all over that sweet little thing! Those are the best messes in the world, and you keep on making them because as you know, they don't stay little very long! Give her a little kiss for me and have fun!
ReplyDeleteomgosh is she a doll face she is so worth the mess nothing like haveing Grandchildern close to you its the best blessing you can have.:)
ReplyDeletebaby "messes" are so worth it, she's a little doll! xoxo
ReplyDeleteOh my! She's a little cuddle bug. Who cares about a little clutter when you get to play with grandbabies :) We know too well it doesn't stay around too long.
ReplyDeleteKim, she is too cute for words. There is nothing like having a sweet baby around the house. Yes, they cause a little chaos in their surroundings, but it is SO worth it!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was out shopping the other day, I found something that I thought was made for you and Leila. I would love to send it to you. My email address is on my profile. Let me know if that is OK and I will pop it in the mail for the two of you!
Diane
Kim she is such a doll! I love those big eyes of hers. Babies come with so much 'stuff'...love it all! hugs, Linda
ReplyDeleteOh, Kimmie! Who cares about the house when you have this little doll to play with! She is so sweet! I love her eyes!
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
shelia ;)
Leila has such an angel face! Love her gorgeous eyes. I bet you're having more fun than decorating this week!
ReplyDeleteShe is just such a cutie patootie! Have fun spoiling her!
ReplyDeleteThe very best kind of mess, Kim! I love it!
ReplyDeleteLittle Leila is absolutely precious! My house is a mess right now. I have been working long hours and will have to wait until the weekend to put my house back together again. Enjoy your time with your little sweetie...that is much more important than a neat and tidy house. She is beautiful and look...she's giving you her love smiles!

ReplyDeleteWhat a doll baby!!! She is beautiful and I'm sure worth every mess to pick up. Your house is lovely no matter the mess, though!
ReplyDeleteOMG she is so cute!
ReplyDeleteYou just made my morning Kim!!!
She is the only thing I really really want to steal from you.... she is darling and I'm jealous!!! oh, one day!!
ReplyDeleteI would love for my house to be this kind of messy. Mine is teenager and husband messy.
ReplyDeleteKim, she is precious and this looks like so much fun. I miss having little ones, and love seeing all their things all over the house. It just makes it such a warm and inviting space. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteWhat mess? All I see is the cutest baby girl ever. She is precious and has such pretty blue eyes.
ReplyDeleteLeila is just precious!!!
ReplyDeleteArent' those grandbabies just the best thing in the world?
ReplyDeleteShe's a cutie :)
Darling Leila! I should have you over, Kim, and educate you about what a "mess" is. You merely demonstrated what your room looks like "in use." :o)
ReplyDeleteThose gorgeous eyes and sweet checks are worth the mess!! What a cutie! Enjoy your visit with that sweet baby!
ReplyDeleteThat sweet face makes it totally worth it! But that's not messy...if someone asked me that question I would have to say...when is my house NOT a mess! ;-)
ReplyDeleteKat :)
I'm right there with ya sister ;)
ReplyDeleteBefore the husband and two kids, keeping a clean house was a breeze. Now? Not so much. I try not to be overly concerned about it, though, as I want to allow my kids the creative freedom to play and have fun, just as long as they clean up afterwards =)
ReplyDeleteWhat a dollie, love those bumbos they love to sit up like grown ups don't they!
ReplyDeleteOh she is too precious! Her smile is just beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteA Grandbaby mess is one of the best messes. I always loved making forts, or playing in the kitchen with my own kids, so let me tell you, we had plenty of messes, too. Have fun with your darling granddaughter!
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable little girl! Your house looks like mine with all of the "pink" laying around, but messy, I think not! ;) What paint color is that room? I love that green and I am looking to make a change in my den!
ReplyDeleteThe paint color is rosemary sprig by Benjamin Moore.
ReplyDeleteThanks
When the grandkids are here, things are always out of place but that's ok. They are worth it and can help clean up before they leave.
ReplyDeleteIt makes for precious memories!!
She looks to be worth the mess for sure. We all have messes... and we all do creative photography, ie: shove mess in closet, take photo, pull mess back out of closet and proceed with life.. LOL
ReplyDeleteDi
I wouldn't care WHAT messes happened with that adorable little girl here! She is so stinkin CUTE!!!!! I would be lovin all over her all day long!!!!! XO, Pinky
ReplyDeleteShe is adorable:) Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteLOOK AT THAT FACE!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteShe is so gorgeous. Babies sure do invade don't they? That's not a mess though. She is just too precious for her accoutrements to be considered a mess.
ReplyDeleteYou might just be one of the luckiest grandma's in the world.
ReplyDeleteJust precious! Enjoy every minute. Leisa
ReplyDeleteShe is gorgeous! Love those beautiful blue eyes!
ReplyDeleteAnd, um, mess???? Girlfriend, if you wanna see everyday mess, come visit my home. I'll trade you messes any day of the week!! LOL!
Goodness-she is adorable! Definately worth the mess (I didn't really see a mess, just some baby stuff). :)
ReplyDeleteThat is the best kind of mess to have! Kim, she is getting so big and she is just beautiful! She is so lucky to have a grammy like you!
ReplyDeleteShe is such a doll!!!!! LOVE that last photo!
ReplyDeleteYour house isn't messy...your house is just being a home. Grandma's home!!
ReplyDeleteShe is so adorable!!
Hi Kim, Isn't it funny that someone that little requires so much stuff! Leila has really grown and she looks like a little doll.
ReplyDeleteAdorable!
Hugs,
Sherry
She is so cuteeeee!
ReplyDeleteHugs

Leila is so cute...who would even notice the mess? I was babysitting my newest little granddaughter today, too...we're blessed aren't we?
ReplyDeleteKim! She is just the cutest baby!!!! I busted out laughing when I saw every baby thing you need imaginable! Have fun!!!!
ReplyDeleteFirst - that is in no way qualifies as a mess but more importantly, with that cutie there no one is even looking at the house.
ReplyDeleteKim she is so cuuuuuuuute. Oh wow - an endearing smile. So cute... I didn't even notice the mess!

My family just cooked a nice baked chicken dinner and made my favortie dessert for my bday today. I prepared the house for the little ones to come and yes, the house is a mess, but the fun babies make it all worth it. My boys and daughter cleaned the kitchen after the party and all that's really left is the toys and uh, well, a bathroom sink full of toilet paper and water to the brim. My 3 year old grandson was washing hands....
ReplyDeleteYou have an adorable grandbaby! My house looks a lot like yours with all the baby stuff. I have a giant toy door sitting in my family room - it's the best toy ever!
