Finished Mirror

10.31.2011

Whew, it is finished. It didn't take very long really. Using chalk paint makes any job so much quicker because of the very fast dry time. I only did the first coat yesterday and then today put the second coat on and then the finishing steps. Today I am only sharing the finished look and then will do a separate tutorial of how the look was achieved.

Here is the before look of the mirror hanging in my client's home. Did you guess it was my sister? I know a couple of you did. I just had to age the mirror and get rid of the shiny white against her new white walls. I can't wait to see the newly painted mirror hanging here and I know she can't wait to get it back. I will also share a trick I came up with to buff out this piece with all the nooks and crannies. A rag was just not getting it done.

I will be delivering this to her tomorrow and will get a couple of pictures of it hanging in her foyer.

A big happy birthday to my sister on Halloween.!

Have a happy Halloween and a super duper week!
