This WAS the new look, but not quite right.
This is her new look. When I ordered a small 2 x 3 version of this rug from Joss & Main I brought it in here and just loved it so I went on the hunt for a larger one and found it on wayfair.com formerly csn.com.
I thought I could live with the neutral rug, but nope nada. I love this rug. It is 100% wool. Probably the most I have ever spent on a rug this size, too. Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet.
I added old grain sacks to the wicker chairs.
I added this bull to the basket just for the heck of it.
Bought this candle holder from Wuslu just like my sister did. Neither one of us knew the other had ordered it.
I believe it has more of the look I was going for now.
Gotta love that red rug.
Kim, it was pretty before...but it's GORGEOUS now. That red rug just completes it.
ReplyDeleteLOL! Girl, you just needed a little RED!! Looks GREAT!!
ReplyDeleteKim - I LOVE that red rug too! The room looks amazing!
ReplyDelete-Shelley
Kim, that red rug sure gave it an incredible pop of color, wow! What a brilliant look! The room looks absolutely spectacular! I love every clever detail! I'm crazy about your floral chairs and those pillows too. What a wonderful new look! Perfect!
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing what a pop of color...especially RED can do for a room. Check out my red valances that I just made.
ReplyDeleteThe rug is stunning. Love the trellis pattern. Can't go wrong with red. It now looks bright and cheerful which is just what a sun room needs!
ReplyDeleteI love that rug too! It looks great in your sunroom.
ReplyDeleteLove the pops of red in the pillows and rugs. Looks so cozy!!! Would love to have a book and a cup of coffee out there on that porch.
ReplyDeleteIt looks beautiful, Kim. I love the red rug!
ReplyDeleteHi Kim, love the red rug, and all the grain sacks and pillows you have used in the new room. Very pretty - as always.
ReplyDeleteI really love it! The new rug is a great contrast to the neutral colors that you've got and ties in with the other pops of red in the room. You can't go wrong with a wool rug either. It will last forever!
ReplyDeleteLove the new rug! It looks amazing! Love the casual way you've layered the wicker chairs with the grain sacks, too! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThe red rug adds the final touch! Love it!
ReplyDeleteI love the changes Kim. The rug is perfection. I am going to bookmark these sites. Looking for a rug for the little master bedroom makeover I am working on.
ReplyDeleteI do love that red rug. It makes the other red accents stand out more like the grain sack stripes. And, yes, it is important sometimes to "bite the bullet" and get a really fabulous piece. I tell my husband it's an investment!
ReplyDeleteLove the pop of red Kim! Looks great.
ReplyDeleteThe rug really pops and it's an investment! Room looks gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWow that rug makes your whole sun room pop! It really is perfect!
ReplyDeleteHi Kim, The room looks great (I loved it before too!) I know you said that you paid a lot for the rug but if it's all wool then you should have it around for a long time!!! XO CIndy
ReplyDeleteOh, I love it Kim!! I'm also a color person, so I love your red. Neutral is great, but I have to have a few rooms with red. I am now following with Linky followers.

ReplyDeleteKim, the room looks so pretty with the red rug! It adds such a great pop of color! It's so funny how you and Kelly pick some of the same items, without knowing that the other one has it. Sister telepathy? Hope you have a Happy Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteWow...love your new decor...that rug really does change the room and makes such a great statement! Your sunroom is gorgeous before and after..love your style!

I see a cozy little Valentine dinner for two to christen the new rug!
ReplyDelete~Bliss~
HI Kim, Oh my gosh I love that RED RUG! THAT changed the entire look of the room and it is wonderful. Love how it ties in with the red stripe in the grain sack. Wow! I think you need to splurge on one more thing though...hahaha...just one more! How about a little glossy red planter with ivy spilling out of it somewhere? Just a thought...one can never have too much red...it is a happy color. And that describes your room, it is happy. Just walking in it would make you happy! Great job decorating and great post.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Debbie
Really, really love the changes you made in your sunroom. So beautiful! The pop of red from your rug is perfect.

ReplyDeleteLove the splash of red that your new rug gives the room! I'm on the hunt for the perfect rug for my sunroom, also. In fact, if you ever get bored of working on your sunroom, come on up and help me with mine =) I love the one 'half' of my room, but the other side I've been struggling with. I could use your talent =)
ReplyDeleteWow, that rug certainly adds a beautiful pop of color. The room looks fabulous!
ReplyDeleteCAS

Good job....
Adore the Red Rug!! Everything in the room is wonderful. You have such a great eye when it comes to painting and changes for your furniture. Love the TV cabinet (but I did LOVE the Yellow). Do you only use Annie Sloan paints for your furniture projects now...
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love the red rug Kim! Your room looks wonderful.
ReplyDeleteHi Kim,
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Red!
Love the pattern too...
Just Beautiful!
All the Best,
Christine
Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one who changes something ... doesn't think it looks quite right ... and changes it yet again. My hubby keeps getting confused about which room he's in! I know what you mean about biting the bullet ... I just did that yesterday and bought 2 new French looking floor mats that I'll be blogging about eventually.
ReplyDeleteOh ... I forgot to say the room looks fantastic! Love the cow print and the red is more you than the neutral rug. You've gotta go with what you love.
ReplyDeleteThe sunroom looks fantastic! Love the pops of red!!
ReplyDeleteThe red rug really makes it pop! Very pretty! I told your sister and now you--that candle holder is really great! You have good taste!

What a great looking room! So warm and sunny, I want to come over and take a nap! Thanks for stoppong by and leaving a sweet comment about my drop cloth drapes. Tabitha@ simplyhomecents.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteJust love the punches of red cause red is my color. Such a pretty room. Like a magazine spread.
ReplyDeleteYour room continues to look very pretty, Kim. The pop of red looks great, especially with the little bits of red in the grain sacks, upholstery and accessories. You must be so comfortable in your sunroom.
ReplyDeleteI love what you've done to your sun room! Not that anything was wrong with how it was before, but we women like to change things up! I think rearranging and redoing rooms is what gives a home some life. It shouldn't be stagnant! Btw, I also bought that candle holder from wuslu, but I thought it had kind of a scientific, laboratory look(don't know why, just how my brain saw it) so instead of using it for a candle I sat a real birds nest on it. It looks like it is on display to study, like something you'd see in a nature gallery.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Kim~ I love your sunroom and love that red rug too! :)
ReplyDeleteLL, I think it has that look, too and what a great idea putting a nest behind the glass. May have to borrow that idea.
ReplyDeleteIt is the room I will sit in on my way through town when I stop in to say hi!! It looks so warm and inviting. I love it!
ReplyDeleteGorgoeus...absolutely LOVE your new rug too!
ReplyDelete~Des
Love that red rug, it really packs a punch and pulls it all together!
ReplyDeleteWhat a difference the red wool rug makes and it will last forever!
ReplyDeleteTalk about making a statement. Whatever you paid for that rug it was worth every penny. Love your grain sacks too. I could sit in that room all day and be perfectly happy.
ReplyDeleteThe red rug is perfect for the room!
ReplyDeleteAdds so much warmth. Just perfect.
I just got a very very similar one in chocolate brown for my daughter's room. Love the pattern.

ReplyDeleteKim, Love the red rug! It really brightens the room and is perfect, especially for the cooler months. I'm still having "basket envy" over your round basket. :) Great vignette in it, too, with the cow and plant.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a nice Valentine's Day.
What a difference! The rug was worth every penny! Isn't that amazing...the before and after picture could sell another 100 rugs for them...at least!

I love it Kim! Especially since red is my favorite color. You can easily see in the pictures the difference the rug makes. Great job!
ReplyDeleteThis is so my style! Rustic, established, lived-in look with a bit of femininity. I love how you were able to bring in both contemporary and antique pieces into the room. It all works!
