It wasn't very long ago when I showed you this sign hanging in the powder room. Well, while at the antique mall, a couple of weeks ago, I found something else. Something even better than this sign. I was walking up and down the aisles, not even looking for something for this spot and then I spotted it. Way down underneath a table leaning against the leg.
This country church painting just grabbed my attention. Not a very well done painting, but much better than I could do.
I really like the fact that it isn't a painting that would ever make it to a gallery, but it is a signed original.
I knew the colors and size was perfect for this room.
After it hung for a few days I decided it needed a frame so I bought one at Hobby Lobby when they were half off.
It also fits the wall space better. Sometimes you just have to keep tweaking till you get it just right. Not saying it couldn't possibly change again, but it should be like this for a while.
The painting was $30 and I got the frame for $12. So not too bad.
