Our two month old porch addition is undoubtedly the baby of our forty-four year old house but it absolutely my favorite "room" of the lot!

We use this space from sun up till waaaaay past sun down - having coffee, dining, playing games, reading, listening to music, cocktailing, entertaining, roasting s'mores and watching the littles run wild in the yard. If we had room for a bed we'd be sleeping out here.

And in a house where we've worked terribly hard to make it our own, it was wonderfully luxurious to start with a sketch on paper and build it from the ground up. Every light, every board, every thing being just as we wanted it.

I truly love this house with all my heart - it's a long story, but I knew it would be mine the first time I ever laid eye on it. This porch is just the cherry on top! (see even more of the porch here)
xoxo,
Amanda
Thanks so much, Amanda, for sharing this wonderful porch addition. I know y'all must love it. Such a beautiful job you did decorating it, too. If y'all want to see more of Amanda's beautiful home please pop over to her blog Dixie Delights. Be sure and get comfy you may be there a while.
What a most beautiful porch! I love everything... the colors... the details... the shape... the FIREPLACE... the rug... the curtains... and that great fish sign!!! There is so much inspiration and thing to love (and copy) here! Amanda, no wonder you love your home so much... I do too!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kim for your great series. It's always a must-read on Friday morning!
Hi Kimmie! Oh, what a beautiful porch! I'm jealous all over the place! Thanks for sharing this with us.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia :)
Thanks, Kim, for the porch tour. Kimmie- your porch is beautiful and blends so well with the exterior of your home. What a great space and decorated so nicely. I might have to borrow the labelled jars for game pieces idea for our basement. I have two little jars with chess pieces and dice, but the labels and decks of cards are something I can use.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic porch!!! If I lived there, that would be my favorite room too. The fireplace is such a wonderful feature out there too. I love the decor too. It's simple and uncluttered with serene colors, just as a porch should be so you can relax. That would be a great place to entertain too!
ReplyDeleteElizabeth, her name is Amanda. Sheila was calling me Kimmie.

Hi Kim,

I love it Kim! So beautiful and functional. Where did you find the fish painting? We live on the water and love to fish but finding good fish art has been challenging. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteSew Grown, you have no reply comment blogger on so maybe you will look here for an answer. This is a post by a guest blogger. It is not my room. I am sure Amanda would be glad to answer you.
ReplyDeleteAmanda and Kim, I'm back tonight for another look tonight in Kim's Top 10 post. Love this covered porch!
ReplyDeleteThe porch is awesome! Where can you get the fish art?
ReplyDeleteThis porch belongs to Dixie Delights and it's from 2012 so I really doubt it's still available, but you can email her. Just click on the link to her blog.
